DC Krov, Thursday, October 15 at 8 PM — screening of the film “Un Poeta”

The Colombian tragicomedy “Un Poeta” is showing at the “Kamenko Katić” cinema in DC Krov, starting at 8 PM. Simón Mesa Soto’s film follows Restrepo, an aging, frustrated poet trapped in his own clichés, until an encounter with the young poet Jurlady sparks a chain of unexpected turns and opens up the question of what it even means to be a poet today. Dark humor and sharp drama go hand in hand here, with no easy answers and no predictable path. The screening will be hosted by Diego Urcelay, a sociologist from Chile and resident at the Center for Visual Anthropology, giving the evening an added conversation-friendly frame for audiences who enjoy auteur cinema and stories that stay with you long after the credits roll.
