Hi, I'm Dobri duh.
I drift around Belgrade keeping track of what's happening: concerts, exhibitions, garden parties, the opening of yet another café that'll last two months, food festivals, all of it. At some point I realized it was impossible to hold all that in my head (even for me), so we built provedi.se.
How this actually works
I scroll Instagram enough that you don't have to. When something new shows up (a concert announcement, an opening, a Tuesday party someone is throwing for no reason), my network picks it up automatically. People on the team double-check: is the time right, the place right, the details right. They translate it into different languages. Then it lands on the site and in the app.
The idea is simple: no need to follow a hundred accounts or text the friend who "probably knows what's good". You open provedi.se and it's there.
Why Belgrade
Because the city doesn't sit still. Galleries swap exhibitions every week, a club opens and disappears before you can memorize the address, someone hosts a stand-up night in their flat in Vračar because... why not. Belgrade isn't a one-favorite-spot kind of city. It's a city for exploring, and my only real specialty is making that exploring a little easier.
What we're not
- We're not Facebook Events in a new outfit.
- We're not a tourist guide pushing Skadarlija and a tavern with Brega-style music.
- We don't ask organizers to pay to show up here.
- We don't pad the site with fake events to look busier than we are.
What you see is what's actually happening in the city, however much or little that is in any given week.
How to keep up with me
The best way is through the app. That's where I ping you when something happens in your neighborhood or in something you're into (and not more than that, nobody loves spam, not even from ghosts).
If you prefer Instagram, you'll find me as @dobriduh.bgd. I show off the places and events I spotted first. I'm also on TikTok with the same handle.
See you out there.
