Student Cultural Center, Tuesday November 3: Alternative Cinema by the Academic Film Center

Short films take center stage in this edition of Alternative Cinema at Studio 28, where the Academic Film Center brings audiences together around animated, experimental, documentary, and hybrid works from the Archive of Alternative Film. The screening doesn’t end when the credits roll: after the films, the conversation continues about form, authorship, the era in which the works were made, and the personal experience of watching them, through a moderated discussion and active audience participation. Here, students and other visitors do more than sit in the dark in front of the screen — they comment, question, and connect what they have seen with contemporary artistic practices.
