Arun Ramamurthy Trio at the Youth Center of Belgrade, October 22, 2026

Arun Ramamurthy Trio takes the stage at the Youth Center of Belgrade at 11:45 PM, blending the rich Carnatic tradition of South India, the Hindustani forms of North India, and contemporary jazz into one captivating sound. Led by Brooklyn violinist and composer Arun Ramamurthy, the trio features bassist Damon Banks and drummer Sameer Gupta, with the performance centered around music from their 2024 album New Moon. Through original compositions and bold improvisation, the trio creates music that bridges Indian classical music and jazz, with themes of migration, cultural connection, and ancestral heritage woven into the very structure of the pieces.
