A night of film at Dom Omladine Belgrade brings together the best of Serbian short cinema in the 72nd Martovski Festival competition lineup, with screenings that dive straight into intense, intimate, and unsettling themes. On screen are "King of Nothing" by Aleksa Gajić, the story of Belgrade artist and author Johnny Racković, who after losing his mother and confronting his own mortality is pulled into an animated, hellish battle with his own mind; "Ripple" by Pavle Aleksandar Subotić, a brief but powerful portrait of the final moments in the life of an underwater welder; "The River" by Uglješa Srđan Ranisavljević, where Mirka is haunted by nightmares while trying to cope with his father’s death; and "Sunset Time" by Ognjen Petković, a quiet family drama about sacrifice, survival, and the unspoken burdens of old age. This festival screening is for audiences who love the short form, strong authorial voice, and stories that stay with you long after the credits roll.
