Dom omladine Belgrade, September 23, 2026 — 72nd Martovski Festival: Serbian Competition Program

At 5:00 PM, the Dom omladine Belgrade screens three films from the domestic competition selection of the 72nd Martovski Festival. The program opens with "Pele, Džaja, Slavka," Dragana Kanjevac’s documentary about women’s football in Serbia, told through the career of Slavka Kanjevac Pašti, with archival footage and her present-day perspective on the sport. Next comes the world premiere of "Takeoff," by Miljan Gogić — a tender short film about a boy from Bangladesh whose search for a colorful kite becomes a story of freedom and perseverance. The evening closes with the Belgrade premiere of Milica Spasojević’s short fiction film "Aunt," where a summer on Brač, romantic unease, and a meeting with the unusual Mare grow into a warm and heartfelt friendship.
