João Paulo Esteves da Silva Quartet at the Belgrade Youth Center, October 24, 2026

Portuguese pianist and composer João Paulo Esteves da Silva comes to the Belgrade Youth Center with his quartet on October 24 at 7:00 PM. Joined by Julian Argüelles on tenor and soprano saxophone, Rodrigo Correia on double bass, and José Salgueiro on drums, he presents a program inspired by the 2025 album "País Distante" and shaped by collective improvisation that carries the band through lyrical, exploratory currents of contemporary European jazz. At its core are piano, spontaneous composition, and an open space between jazz, classical music, fado, folk, and free improvisation. Expect a refined concert by musicians who build the sound through dialogue, dynamics, and subtle nuances, led by an artist returning to Belgrade after his earlier performance at the Belgrade Jazz Festival.
