Dom Omladine Belgrade, September 26, 2026 — 73rd Martovski Festival: International Competition Program

Four Serbian premieres come together in one festival slot, taking you through very different cinematic worlds. The International Competition Program of the 73rd Martovski Festival begins at 17:00 at the Dom Omladine Belgrade and brings together documentary, short fiction, experimental film, and video art. On screen are "Long Road to the Pastures," a story about a family facing concrete survival challenges on an overnight journey to the summer grazing grounds; "Fake Jewelry," a short fiction film about a mother taking her son to an audition that turns out very differently than he expects; "Pale Sun," an intimate tale of a boy and the shame he carries through one summer day at the beach; and "XYZ," an experimental work that turns an empty office building into a portrait of modern self-isolation. For audiences following contemporary auteur cinema, this is a rich and varied festival block with international selections and premiere titles.
