Youth Center of Belgrade, October 7 – 53rd FEST: Beyond the Valley of the Dolls

The late festival screening at 11:00 PM is reserved for Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Russ Meyer’s cult American musical satire with a screenplay by Roger Ebert. The film follows an all-female rock band that arrives in Hollywood chasing fame, only to get pulled into a wild spiral of vice, excess, and decadence at the hands of an eccentric producer. A sharp, unruly, and genre-defining film closes out the FEST day in unforgettable style.
