Dorćol Platz, May 20th at 8PM – Monodrama 'Aca the Great'

In the heart of Dorćol, on May 20th at 8 PM, the audience is invited to glimpse into the authentic daily life of one of the most unseen members of Belgrade's urban landscape – the homeless man from Vuk's Monument, through the monodrama 'Aca the Great'. Actor Luka Potparić, driven by personal research and deep empathy, spent a year following and documenting this man's story. With dramaturgical support from Mina Ćirić, a script emerged that spares no honesty or emotion. The play offers not just a story but an atmosphere – a sense of isolation, yet also strength, dignity, and an unyielding hope defying the circumstances. This documentary-stage portrait, mentored by Aleksandar Đindjić, encourages the audience to reconsider the boundaries of their freedom and pause before the daily lives of those often overlooked.
