Using authentic artifacts, photographs, and modern AI technology, the 'Hand, Effort, and Science' exhibition at the Ethnographic Museum unveils a rich and layered narrative about everyday life, values, and the labor of people during the socialist era in the latter half of the 20th century. Visitors will have the opportunity to encounter original tools and objects—from traditional plows and scythes to modern tractors and combine harvesters—clearly illustrating the transition from rural to urban society. The exhibition places special emphasis on personal stories and memories of those who shaped this era. It also offers interactive features for the youngest visitors, with educational games that bring old crafts and tools to life. The grand opening, led by museum advisor Marko Stojanović, presents a rare opportunity to gain deeper insight into how work, family, and communal values evolved but also endured through the whirlwind of industrialization and urbanization. This event connects past and present, inviting all generations to meet the people behind the artifacts and discover the living core of our folk culture.
