On September 4 at 7:00 PM, Gallery 73 opens the exhibition “The Artist as Curator” — a show that explores what happens when an artist goes beyond their own practice and chooses, connects, and creates space for others as well. Inspired by a concept by curator Biljana Tomić, the exhibition brings together the voices of young artists and students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, presenting a range of poetics, approaches, and ways of thinking about contemporary art. Participating artists include Laura Blagojević, Katarina Drenjanin, Katarina Gujaničić, Marko Glišić, Katarina Ivanović, Lena Jovanović, Ana Kocić, Una Kotur, Staša Nikoliš, Teodora Nešković, Aleksa Pavković, Nikola Pavković, Ksenija Popović, Vesela Rajković, Ana Simidžija, Ana Simić, Dunja Hodžajeva, Relja Stevanović, Zorana Stevanović, Marija Topolac, and Valentina Ulamović. The exhibition is also dedicated to the recently deceased artist and filmmaker Đorđe Kadijević, one of the founders of Gallery 73, giving this opening an added sense of significance as a meeting between young creators and an important artistic legacy.
