Historical Museum of Serbia, April 2026 – Exhibition 'Heroic and Tragic – Images of War'

The exhibition 'Heroic and Tragic – Images of War' reveals how artists have depicted wars from the First Serbian Uprising, through the Balkan Wars and the Albanian Golgotha, to the Second World War. Visitors can explore the profound emotions captured by renowned artists like Pavle Jovanović, Miloš Golubović, Mladen Josić, Milan Milovanović, Danica Jovanović, and Miloš Gvozdenović, uncovering layers of heroism and personal tragedy. The exhibition is open daily, except Mondays, in the iconic setting of the museum at Nikole Pašića Square 11, from 12 PM to 8 PM.
