Jewish Cultural Center, May 23, 2026: BALKAN AFFAIRS – The Fragile Art of Living Together

An evening of contemporary music in the heart of Belgrade brings a special event as part of the Ring Ring Festival – BALKAN AFFAIRS: The Fragile Art of Living Together! Seven composers from the seven former Yugoslav republics unite their talents through completely new musical works, performed by the renowned ensemble Neue Vokalsolisten from Stuttgart. The audience will have the opportunity to explore the sonic landscapes of the Balkan region through the innovative compositions of Hanan Hadžajlić, Ylli Daklani, Jugovina, Ana Pandevska, Nina Perović, Petra Strahovnik, and Helena Vonskljarov. Expect an evening full of artistic experimentation, strong emotions, and cultural exchange in the warm setting of the Jewish Cultural Center. This project is developed in cooperation with mdjstuttgart and supported by the Goethe-Institut Belgrade, as well as the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts Baden-Württemberg.
