Yugoslav Film Archive, June 10 – Screening of the film 'My Son' (1928)

Part of the Nitrate Film Festival program is the Soviet film 'My Son' from 1928, directed by Yevgeny Chervyakov, which was long thought lost. A discovery in Buenos Aires allowed a new generation to experience this lyrical and poetic story about the everyday life of a working-class family and a rich spectrum of emotions—from anger to love and jealousy. The film offers a rare opportunity to experience the authentic atmosphere of Soviet cinema from the pre-World War II period.
