KPGT, September 10: The Tempest — William Shakespeare

Shakespeare’s The Tempest comes to life at Stara Šećerana in a striking staging that brings together a large cast and vivid physical movement. Directed by Vanja Vodeničarević, the story follows Prospero, Miranda, Caliban, Ariel and the rest through a world of New Atlantis and conquistadors, with choreography by Pedro Brindis and Tatjana Tasić, and musical collaboration by Bojana Račić and Sara Jović. With performances by Slobodan Beštić, Višnja Lukić, Marija Nikitović, Dunja Stanković, Dejana Džinić Topalović, Doris Kitwoa and many others, this production offers a full ensemble and a layered take on a classic text, reimagined as contemporary, physically expressive theatre.
