KPGT, May 2nd at 8 PM – Fear and Hope in West Germany: A Play by Franz Xaver Kroetz

This performance, composed of nineteen miniature dramas performed simultaneously, portrays the lives of people from various social strata in the Federal Republic of Germany of 1982 while also reflecting current European realities. Characters, ranging from retirees, bankers, police officers, the unemployed, to Turkish refugees and LGBT writers, live their European lives on the same stage in a unique mosaic of everyday life. Directed by Ljubiša Ristić, the team includes top-notch professionals from translators to set designers and music associates. Lasting 90 minutes, the play delivers a powerful atmosphere, brilliant dialogues, and the feeling of being in real life across nine apartments in a single building.
