KPGT, October 31: DON JUAN

Don Juan arrives at KPGT on October 31 at 8:00 PM, brought to life through Handke’s story that follows him from Tbilisi and Damascus to Ceuta, Bergen, Amsterdam, and Guča, all the way to a restaurant in the ruins of the Port-Royal-des-Champs monastery near Paris. The performance runs 120 minutes and unfolds through a chain of encounters, escapes, and confessions, drifting between literature, myth, and a contemporary sense of exile. Directed by Ljubiša Ristić, with set design by Bojana Đurović and choreography by Anisja Gavrilović. On stage are Mihailo Perišić / Đorđe Galić as Don Juan, with Dmitrije Korać and Jovan Petrović as the cooks, Eldar Zubčević as Molière, Milan Pelivanović as Sganarelle, Iva Jovanović / Jovana Šešum as the Bride, and the ensemble of nuns: Anisja Gavrilović, Dejana Džinić, Marina Rakić, Dina Vučaj, Jovana Nikolić, Feodora Grujić, Milana Mateiser, Tanja Ivanov, Dunja Antić, Lana Bovan, Anastasija Knežević, and Sara Radojković. The play is performed in the Old Sugar Refinery, Radnička 3, where it enters into dialogue with themes of persecution, asylum, guilt, and defense, without reducing Don Juan to the familiar stereotype of a seducer.
