Poetry takes to the streets of Belgrade! This year's celebration of 'World Poetry Day(s)' titled 'Our Days' brings together local poets, artists, and publishers to celebrate the diversity and strength of the local poetry scene. The program begins with the poems of Aleksandar Popović in front of the Art Gallery, accompanied by the music of Vojislav Oki Kostić. It continues with a series of public readings where young talents like Anja Davidović present contemporary poetry inspired by society and archaeology. Visual artists, led by Vuk Palibrk, bring verses to life through live painting, while members from the Zrenjanin senior club share verses about love. In the 'Among Ourselves' segment, voices from all generations are heard, and the 'Emerging Library' invites visitors to donate books and contribute to the community. A special highlight is the 'New Corso' program on World Poetry Day itself - a chance to converse with poets and exchange books at a central city location. This festival offers a rich blend of art, music, and literature in the heart of Belgrade, making it perfect for anyone who wishes to experience the spirit of poetry and contribute to the city’s culture.
