At the Cultural Centre of Belgrade’s Hall, from October 22 to 28 at 6:00 PM, catch the drama THE OLIVE TREE, Alex Camilleri’s acclaimed film following Mar, a young woman determined to leave Malta after her mother’s death—until a dispute over the family land keeps her on the island longer than she expected. A chance encounter with an older folk singer, Nenu, draws her into the music, traditions, and hidden layers of the place she has been trying to escape, turning the story into a moving reflection on home, inheritance, and the possibility of starting over.
