Kvaka 22, Wednesday October 21 — Screening of Eastern Promises

A cold London, the Russian mafia, and a story that never looks away from violence, loyalty, and human trafficking take center stage in the screening of Eastern Promises at Kvaka 22. Starring Viggo Mortensen, Vincent Cassel, and Naomi Watts, Cronenberg crafts a tense crime thriller with no romantic gloss over the underworld and no easy way out for its characters. The film is screened with Serbian subtitles, so the focus stays fully on the atmosphere, the brutal rules, and the question of how much a person can lose and still know who they are.
