Museum of Applied Art, September 3, 2026 — Opening Night of Jovana Čavorović’s Exhibition “Ma: In-Between Space”

Jovana Čavorović’s porcelain takes over the Main Gallery with works created during a three-year research stay in Japan. The opening of “Ma: In-Between Space” starts at 7:00 PM. At the heart of the exhibition is the idea of “ma” — an in-between space that is never just empty, but shapes the relationship between objects, space, and the viewer’s gaze. The porcelain forms also draw on the ideas of wabi-sabi and kintsugi, making trace, breakage, repair, and imperfection an essential part of the experience. The exhibition is organized by the Salon of Contemporary Applied Art and Design, and the curator is Jelena Popović.
