The Main Gallery of the Museum of Applied Arts opens its doors to an exhibition dedicated to traditional Balkan jewelry from the 18th to the early 20th century, featuring a carefully selected display of around 260 pieces from the museum’s collection. Visitors will discover pafte, tepeluci, belts, earrings, chest ornaments, and other forms of adornment that reveal the richness of shapes, motifs, and symbolism across different communities and historical periods. Curated by Senior Curator Mila Gajić, the exhibition also creates a dialogue between heritage and contemporary design through a special segment in which the jewelry brand Hota Hota presents its own interpretation of pofte and tepeluci. The opening will feature speeches by Dr. Stevan Martinović and Mila Gajić, and the exhibition will be officially opened by Dr. Vesna Bikić.
