Social realism raises timely questions about inequality, resistance, and social struggle through works from the exhibition “Turning Points Toward Modernity: Art of Society 1900–1945.” In this guided tour, visitors will follow how art responded to the political and social realities of its time, with a special focus on socially engaged practices and their links to wider European art movements. Using works by the Zemlja group and the Život group as examples, the tour shows how an artwork can speak through its aesthetics while also taking a clear critical stance, opening space for a conversation about artistic and civic rights. The exhibition is guided by museum associate Luka Pajović.
