Testament Gallery, Tuesday, August 25th at 8 PM – Presentation of the Film 'Stories of Borrowed Memories' with Special Animation Guest Features

In the rustic setting of the Testament Gallery, attendees will experience a unique evening of cinematic creativity and innovation. The event features an exclusive presentation of the film in progress, 'Stories of Borrowed Memories', which explores intriguing questions about the boundaries between memory and fiction. The creative team – Marija Rodić, Diellza Bylygbashi, and Antun Gverović – spent ten days in Pristina, blending archival family photos with innovative stop-animation techniques: drawing, painting, cut-out, and even chemical experiments. Where does fact end and construction begin? How do stories change based on artistic approach and personal viewpoint? Following the film’s premiere, a selection of specially invited animated works will be shown, culminating in an open discussion with the creators and informal mingling in the gallery’s creative ambiance. This evening offers a rare chance to dive into the art-making process and discussions on identity through visual communication.
