RE SHIRT LAB – Museum of African Art, Sunday June 21: Africa x Serbia Redesign Workshop

Join us in the Garden of the Museum of African Art on June 21 from 11 AM to 2 PM for the RE SHIRT LAB – Africa x Serbia Redesign Workshop! Part of the Afrofestival 2026 and Belgrade Fashion Week, this creative workshop invites all who wish to give new life to old clothes and fabrics by blending African and Serbian textile traditions. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite shirt, piece of clothing, or fabric with African motifs – each item will be transformed into a unique, eco-friendly creation for you to take home. The workshop is led by designers Ivana Tokin and Elizabeth Faniyi, who will inspire you through a sustainable approach to fashion and the rich heritage of African and Serbian cultures. It’s the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to experiment with fashion, learn more about African art, and contribute to sustainability through creative expression!
