Silosi, Saturday, April 25th – Workshop 'Refresh Your Language with Idioms' at the Independent Book Fair River of Words

What if we could transform witty Serbian expressions into comics or illustrations? At the 'Refresh Your Language with Idioms' workshop within the Independent Book Fair River of Words at Silosi, everyone older than 6 will have a chance to explore the meanings and origins of the most fascinating everyday phrases through creative play. Participants will learn when and how to use idioms, and then bring them to life through drawings, illustrations, or comics, inspired by the book 'How a Kidney Flourishes in Fat, and Who Straightens Out Crooked Drinas'. The workshop is led by Mirjana Perišić, a Serbian language teacher, and Nataša Prica, a foreign languages teacher, whose expertise and creativity will open doors to a new approach to language. Admission is free, and the artistic spirit of Silosi, enriched with a view of the river, further inspires the creativity of each participant.
