Teatar Vuk, October 18 at 7:30 PM — STONES IN HIS POCKETS

Two actors bring an entire little Irish world to life in STONES IN HIS POCKETS, Marie Jones’s sharp and moving comedy, playing at 7:30 PM at Teatar Vuk. Pavle Mensur and Miloš Petrović Trojpec play Jake and Charlie, as well as every other character, weaving together the illusion of cinema, the playfulness of theatre, and the raw reality of a poor village just as a Hollywood film crew arrives. Directed by Erol Kadić, this 85-minute production tells a story about the clash between big dreams and everyday life, and about people who end up as extras in someone else’s movie while trying to create their own. At its heart is the friendship of two men struggling to turn the chaos around them into their own story — the one that gives the play its title.
