U10 — Saturday, November 7: Closing of the “Tangenta” exhibition with an artist talk and lecture
Saturday, 7 November 2026
16:00h
U10
Kosovke devojke 3, Beograd
The closing event for the “Tangenta” exhibition at U10 brings together a conversation with artist Alisa Sizykh and a lecture by Ula Karotki in one program. Starting from her installation “Letters on Peace,” Alisa Sizykh speaks about dialogue as an artistic method and a form of resistance to political withdrawal, tracing how a personal correspondence grows into a public archive of conflict. In her lecture, “LGBTQ+ Resistance to Authoritarianism in Belarus Before and After the 2020 Uprising,” Ula Karotki follows the history of LGBTQ+ activism in Belarus, focusing on activist performances that challenged the conservative state framework, reshaped Minsk’s public space, and reclaimed Soviet public memory as a way of asserting belonging in society. The program serves as both the finissage of the exhibition and a meeting point for contemporary art, political thought, and public discussion.
