Cultural Institution Parobrod, June 19, 2026 – Monodrama 'Prisonwood' in English

A unique opportunity in Belgrade to experience the powerful monodrama 'Prisonwood,' directed by Italian artist Manuela Frontoni and performed by Roberto Seki, at the Cultural Institution Parobrod. This play, inspired by the life and works of American writer Djuna Barnes, explores themes of violence against women and the challenges faced by women in their artistic journeys. Through an innovative blend of physical theatre, anthropological approach, and social activism, 'Prisonwood' delivers an emotionally and visually engaging story, with artistic collaboration from independent Italian troupes Auló Teatro and Teatro La Madrugada. The performance is part of the FADO Erasmus+ project, dedicated to raising awareness and empowering victims of gender-based violence. It is performed in English, with entry by recommended donation.
