Yugoslav Film Archive, March 1-5, 2026 – 24th Iranian Film Festival in Belgrade

Belgrade becomes the epicenter of Iranian cinema as the 24th Iranian Film Festival arrives at the Yugoslav Film Archive from March 1st to 5th! Audiences can enjoy masterpieces of contemporary Iranian cinema, including premieres and re-screenings of four exceptional films. The program opens with "The Guardian of the Fields" (2025) by director Mohamad Reza Heradmandan, an exciting story of community and solidarity in rural Iran. "Western Sky" (2023) by Mohamad Asgari takes viewers through heroic heights and war dramas, while "Without Prior Appointment" (2022) by Behrouz Shoaibi offers an emotional and humorous journey through identity and reconnecting with roots. The festival closes with "The Weeping Willow" (2022) by the legendary Majid Majidi, a poetic meditation on truth, love, and inner transformation.
